紛亂的家庭有線網路技術，將有機會透過國際電信聯盟(ITU) (International Telecommunication Union)的G.hn家庭網路標準，來完成統一家庭電力線、電話線、及同軸電纜線大業，目前已完成MAC/PHY的制定。此標準並透過開發G.9972新標準，讓G.hn規格設備能與採用其他標準(如IEEE P1901)的設備互通。此外，為搶奪歐美各國對智慧電網的市場，專家們也著手制定支援智慧電網(SmartGrid)應用的G.hn延伸標準。

　推動G.hn標準的產業組織HomeGrid Forum，目前已得到全球約30位廠商及推動組織的支持，並且陸續增加新會員。Forum會員們已經在著手共同制定C&I測試項目並開發認證流程，以協助半導體供應商與設備製造商取得Home Grid認證標章，確保所推出的產品符合標準及經過互通性測試。

　為協助國內業者掌握下世代家庭網路商機，經濟部通訊產業推動小組舉辦「下世代家庭網路標準論壇」，邀請HomeGrid Forum 的重要成員來台，透過與直接參與，與具有影響標準的專家們面對面討論，將有機會獲得技術標準的第一手資訊及技術脈動，提早進入市場卡位。

　資策會已加入HomeGrid Forum會員，擔任Marketing Promotion成員之一，負責國際標準產業化推動工作，建立台灣廠商與Forum之間溝通交流平台，協助業者盡早朝向下世代家庭網路標準發展。

　此次活動除了國內外專家精闢的演講之外，整場的重頭戲在最後的論壇討論(Panel Discussion)，把握難得機會，千萬別缺席。另有安排會場DEMO展示及上午媒合會議。

Event background description:
The United Nation’s ITU-T is completing its next-generation wired home networking standard. Called G.hn, this standard is expected to have a significant impact on IPTV deployments. G.hn will simplify networking of content, including high-definition video, and devices over any wire – phone line, power line and coax cable. Using the technology, service providers will be able to deploy new offerings including IPTV more cost effectively. Electronics manufacturers will be able to provide powerful devices for connecting all types of entertainment, home automation, and security products throughout the house. And consumers will be able to simplify their home networking decisions and implementations.
HomeGrid Forum, Institute of Information Industry, and Committee of Communication Industry Development of Ministry of Economic Affairs are joined together to host this G.hn seminar. DS2, Billion, Mototech will showcase G.hn technology and demonstrate the power of this award-winning, next-generation wired networking standard at Computex 2010, June 4 in Taipei.
The seminar on G.hn is designed to help original design manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers, service providers and others understand what is necessary to build and deploy products based on the technology.
