2013 Taiwan Business Alliance Conference

The MOEA will strengthen its promotion of foreign investment in high-value-added manufacturing and knowledge-intensive businesses this year with the aim of transforming Taiwan's industrial structure through value-added innovation and building Taiwan into supplier of key components and precision machinery for the international industrial chain. It will focus on the equipment manufacturing and material, biotechnology and pharmaceutical, cloud computing and digital content, and logistics and retail industries so as to bring in overseas technology with a high potential for development and strengthen Taiwan's industrial power.

As part of this effort, the MOEA will host the "2013 Taiwan Business Alliance Conference" under the theme of "Taiwan Soars with Innovation and Added Value." Companies from both Taiwan and overseas are welcome to join the conference, which will be held on September 30th.

As chairman of the conference, Economics Minister Chia-Juch Chang will sign Letters of Intent (LOIs) with representatives from foreign companies which have expressed their willingness to invest in Taiwan. In addition, industry experts from both Taiwan and overseas will deliver keynote speeches, and executives from multinational companies will share their experiences of successful investment in Taiwan.

The Business Alliance Conference is designed to create an ideal platform on which domestic and international business decision-makers, industry professionals, and venture capitalists can seek out opportunities for transnational cooperation and investment. The conference will be held in English.
