2014 Taiwan Business Alliance Conference
Building Better Businesses Together

Taiwan plays a pivotal role in the Asia Pacific Region, and signing of the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) in 2010, and the Agreement between New Zealand and the Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu on Economic Cooperation (ANZTEC) and the Agreement between Singapore and the Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu on Economic Partnership (ASTEP), both in 2013, have not only strengthened Taiwan's competitiveness in the China market, they have also improved Taiwan's position in the global value chain.

Foreign investment in Taiwan has always been vital for creating jobs and improving management and technical capabilities. To make the most of this investment and stimulate growth, Taiwan has responded with Free Economic Pilot Zones, the Taoyuan Aerotropolis and important economic stimulus policies that will help free up the flow of talent, trade and funds; create a favorable investment environment; and attract global investment.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs will host the 2014 Taiwan Business Alliance Conference, the MOEA's 11th major investment conference in as many years, at the Taipei International Convention Center on October 8 (Wednesday). This Conference is an ideal platform where domestic and international decision makers, industry experts, and venture capitalists can seek out opportunities for international investment cooperation. Participants will gain a better understanding of Taiwan’s investment environment and the advantages of specific domestic industries.
