We are very pleased to announce our hosting of the 2013 APEC Workshop on Geothermal Energy Development at the NTUH International Conventional Center, in Taipei from June 25th to 26th, 2013.

Geothermal energy is green, renewable, and sustainable. Due to its stable output, geothermal power can serve as an ideal base-load, as opposing to wind and solar energies which are intermittent. Many of the APEC Economies are located at the Pacific Ring of Fire that possesses abundant geothermal potential. To assist exploiting this renewable resource, we are organizing this workshop with the attempt to serve as a pivotal step in gathering international capacities and in providing a surging momentum in geothermal development in APEC. The workshop consists the following technical sessions:

● Geothermal Status and Perspectives
● Geothermal Exploration and Assessment
● Enhanced Geothermal Systems and Technologies

It is anticipated that this APEC endorsed activity will attract a large number of international renowned experts, researchers, and corporates. The current geothermal status, the development policies and strategies, and the most advanced geothermal technologies will be presented and discussed in this workshop.
