Project 2020: Taiwan's Vision for a Greener Earth

The World Economic Forum (WEF) held January 23-27 in Davos, Switzerland issued a report noting the intensification of global climate change and highlighting the seriousness of the carbon emission problem; while the severe smog recently seen in China also underscores the urgent need to reduce air pollution in the country. Indications of the need for the world to more proactively develop green energy sources are everywhere. As a time when environmental awareness is spurring many countries to improve measures to save energy, reduce carbon emissions and promote the development of green energy technology industries, the importance of low-carbon methods of transport grows greater every day. Electric vehicles are an effective way of saving energy and protecting the environment, and global demand for such vehicles is steadily growing.

At this critical moment, the 2013 EV Taiwan Forum will address future directions for automotive electronics, emerging trends created by R&D into key components, and the new competitive situation for global markets. We invite important companies in Taiwan and abroad to share in this gathering, which will bring together a variety of amazing perspectives from Taiwan and around the world, allow Taiwan to gain a better understanding of the latest trends in the electric vehicle market, and provide Taiwan-based companies with a long-term view on the best prospects for development.
