  • Richard is the founder and Director of Health & Care Innovations LLP, a partnership with Torbay & South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, and plays a key part in developing new technological solutions for the NHS.
  • Richard’s past experience includes working as the sales and marketing director of an insurance company, founding a consultancy firm, working with international brands, and become a leadership fellow at the University of Exeter. He is the author of ‘Align IT’, an insightful book that helps readers recognise the potential of IT and take steps to achieve their goals. Throughout this book, he incorporates his knowledge gained from years as a facilitator and insightful speaker.

Hugh Kelly

Director of Implementation

  • Hugh is an experienced PRINCE2 Project Manager working both within the NHS and now servicing Heath and Social Care providers. He focuses on development of digital products and working within pathways of care to create savings and has worked on many successful e-learning projects for Education Departments and STP
  • wide programs directed by HEE. Having project managed a digital Care Certificate Course Hugh understands the need for high quality of resources and a course that provides value back to the staff to ensure a high rate of take up and completion.
  • Most recently Hugh has been on a project developing a series of educational videos and resources to support the awareness and uptake of Human Factors learning across all staff teams as part of the workstreams identified by HEE.

  • Ellen has worked within the organisation since it was established as a partnership with Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust in July 2016. Ellen has an extensive background in marketing for UK and international companies, before joining Health and Care Innovations to develop their digital health services.
  • Ellen understands the importance of getting the right messages to the right people and making information more accessible through the use of mobile technology and has a keen interest in digital health care.
